RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests focus on i) the neurophysiological and biomechanical mechanisms underlying the control and modulation of muscle activations; ii) motor rehabilitation assisted with Brain-Computer Interface and; iii) the neurophysiological correlates of perception-action capabilities. In my previous positions, I focused on the alteration of the motor-related cortical potentials, muscle activations, and sensorimotor neural networks. I expanded my field of interest to the cortical correlates of the perception of action capabilities prior to the effective motor action. Then, I collaborated with other scientific disciplines to develop a new Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) to promote motor rehabilitation. My research at the CERCO focuses on the neurophysiological and biomechanical motor action mechanisms during dynamic perception-action tasks by integrating numerous visual, perceptual, and motor factors.
