Notre équipe s’intéresse à la nature dynamique (fluctuante) de la perception sensorielle, de l’attention et des fonctions cognitives supérieures. Comment ces fonctions se déroulent-elles à chaque instant ? Comment une perception, ou une pensée, se construit-elle sur son histoire perceptive immédiate ? Des fluctuations perceptuelles et attentionnelles se produisent-elles aussi à un rythme encore plus rapide, entraîné par les oscillations corticales ? À l’autre extrémité du spectre, que pouvons-nous apprendre des fluctuations causées par les différences individuelles dans les fonctions sensorielles et cognitives ? Ces questions sont abordées en utilisant une approche unique à plusieurs échelles, depuis les enregistrements intracellulaires in vivo et l’imagerie optique jusqu’à l’EEG humain et l’IRMf.
